Hey guys. I've been using this forum frequently for the last two years. Since I bought my Brinkman Trailmaster Limited a couple of years ago.
I was fortunate to find a Klose Smoker 20x48 with 20×20 1/2 inch firebox smoker on Craigslist. Got it for $1000 and trailered it home yesterday morning. The guy took excellent care of it. And had a bunch of accessories such as the extra rack for inside the smoking chambers. And outside attachments. Sanded it down and applied a couple layers of the black bbq high heat paint.

I am looking for some decent round thermometers with the longer stems. Any recommendations? On my old smoker I just drilled some holes using my corded power drill and put 2 char broil thermometers in. Any help or brands would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Jimmy from Michigan

Jimmy, I have 4 River Country therms on my CC. There's one in the center of each door at the upper grate level and one at each end just above the lower grate. The River Country is an excellent therm and is very accurate and adjustable. I have the 3" face and 4" stem. The 4" stem gets the therm closer into the cooker and I get very good readings. You will also need a digital therm with probes for the grate and for the meat. I use the Maverick e-732.

There are some more expensive therms than the River Country, but they are not any better.

Good luck with them, Joe

Thank you very much. I'll take a look. The 4 inch long stems sound perfect. Will post picks once I get it all assembled.
