I'm looking for a KitchenAid meat grinder. Not the cheap plastic ones but the old style metal grinders. I live in North West Georgia so it would be nice to find one within 50 miles of me. Thanks.

If you can find one of the old metal Kitchen Aid models they are great (but pricy as they are scarce).  Every now and then someone gets a steal of a deal on one on EBay, but I was never that lucky.  If you can't find a good used one at a decent price, don't think on it too long, just buy it.

An alternative would be the Chef's Choice stainless steel model that is supposed to fit the Kitchen Aid machines.  I've never used it but it looks promising in a google search.  Runs about $100 bucks online with 3 grinding plates.  Would post a link, but I'm pretty sure the selling store is not a forum sponsor.

Great grinder for the price. I have one and love it.  I also bought their 5 pound stuffer last year.  I posted the info on the Kitchen Aid because it was what you asked about.  The Northern is a better tool for the job (any dedicated grinder would be).

Check this SMF thread for a $20 off $100 purchase code good until 12/31.  Just buy a pack of screws or something to get the total order just over $100.  The local stores usually have that model in stock, but if they are out, just have them "ship to store" for free.

PS those codes can be used more than one time.

Thank you very much. I will use the code. I've got a Northern Tool about 30 min. from me.

   Thanks again.

                             MERRY CHRISTMAS
