 I am new to the idea of smoking, I have recently purchased a Master Built dual fuel smoker. I see the need for a door gasket and have one on order. Has anyone tried the idea of using the propane and mixing a  small amount of charcoal in with the wood chunks. I said chunks because the chips burned up when I tried to season the smoker. Has any one had any issues with the fuel control, mine ran what may have been hot I am using the door therometer right now it seemed to be close?
