Been reading posts for months and figured it was time to get involved.

I'm in Southern Cal.

Had a Weber bullet smoker for 20 years and it finally wore out. Used that thing for everything brisket, ribs, pork shoulder and best of all turkey.

Looking for a vertical to replace it and just want to make sure I can fit a 22 LB turkey in it.

What kind of vertical are you looking at?  I've just done one smaller turkey in mine (13 lbs) so far (turned out awesome, btw), but I don't think a big one like that would fit sitting on the 17" diameter racks.  However, I could put it into a mesh sack like I use for hams and hang it, it would work like that.

It works well for me, but I think the small diameter would be a problem for a lot of people here that do larger volumes of meat than I do.
