Hello, I'm now retired and have time to do the things I've always wanted to do but didn't have the time. Learning how to smoke meat was one of those goals. With the help of this web site I hope to accomplish this. I just purchased a Char-Griller charcoal/wood grill and purchased Jeffs recipes so can't wait to get started.
My wife and I live in Piedmont, SD, a town just outside Rapid City. We love to travel, maintain a vegtable garden, and playing and watching hockey is my passion.
Look forward to learning the art of smoking meat and with your help and Jeffs' I think it can be accomplished.

Welcome, I am also a retired newbee. I did my first smoke last weekend on my new Char Griller SNP with side firebox. I came out okay but it will also get better.
