Hey all...I recently bought a Char Broil 1280 COS. I seasoned it and smoked a beef roast and some raw beef and pork sausage...It turned out great. I am not  new to smoking but previously owned a brinkman vertical smoker. I made a blanket for it out of double bubble foil insulation and used the foil duct tape to put it all together. Instead of putting sealer and that around the smoking chamber i plan to use the same to make a blanket/cover for the smoking chamber. I will put in some duct to lower the chimney to the grill and put in a tuner plate as well with some fire brick. I am not sure whether or not to convert it to a reverse flow smoker or just do the mods mentioned above. I will definately paint is with some high temp paint. I am stoked to get this mod process goin. Just waiting on pay day...lol.
