Greetings Meat Smoking Enthusiasts! I wanted to drop a line here just to fill you all in on why I joined this forum. I have been interested in getting my own meat smoking set up ever since my father-in-law started feeding me ribs and pork tenderloin off his little electric rig he bought some time back. The more I researched the subject the more interested I became in the hardwood/charcoal side of things. The "labor of love" that comes with tending to coals, hardwood sticks and air flow is very appealing to me. Also the hurry up and wait aspect of meat smoking is equally appealing. It's the same reason I started brewing my own beer and frying turkeys, anything that'll give me an excuse to sit in my back yard and sip on suds... sign me up. I have already found a ton of useful information on this site and I hope to avoid posting questions and topics that have already been answered (probably a million times). But all in all, I'm really looking forward this season that promises to be full of smoke! I'm gonna mosey on over to the RF build section and post pictures of the project I started this weekend.
