Hi, folks.

I have been making dehydrator (beef) jerky for years.  I Just received a new dehydrator as a wedding gift (Presto DeHydro 6300), and had to immediately christen it with a batch of jerky.

This was the first time I bought semi-fancy meat for the jerky (got a London Broil), sliced it down into jerky-sized strips, and divided it in two.

For the first half, I made the marinade from the new dehydrator's book, which was for just 'regular' jerky, and was very similar to the recipe I've always used.  For the second half, I tried a new recipe from online for teriyaki jerky.  Here they are, teriyaki on the left, 'regular' on the right.

The recipe from the new dehydrator book was great, but the teriyaki...I don't know.  It wasn't terrible, but really, it tasted too much like orange juice to me, and just weird in general.  I'm NOT picky at all, so it always surprises me when something isn't just awesome-tasting.

The question:  I am looking for a GREAT teriyaki jerky recipe, and also for a GREAT recipe for sweet & spicy jerky.  Can anyone help me out?  I am only looking for dehydrator jerky recipes at this time, as I still haven't seasoned my smoker...  :(

Thanks for any help!

Katie
