Feels good to finally join after reading posts here for about a year. I have been smoking meats for about 2 years now and enjoying it more and more every time, I think I may enjoy the process as much as the product, I smoked my first butt on a Masterforge charcoal grill (not very enjoyable) and knew after that I had to upgrade. I am fortunate enough to work at a sheet metal fabrication plant and decided to make my own smoker after seeing the prices of which smoker I thought would be good for me a Meadow Creek TS60. I designed one like the TS60 just with a different base I added a shelf on bottom for storage used square tubing as a frame. It works great and makes some delicious smoked meats.
