I am a 66 yr. old retiree.  I live in a wonderful small town in Oregon out in the country.  Have been here just over a year now & am enjoying getting used to small town living.

We recently purchased a Traeger smoker & are enjoying learning a better way to smoke.

Previously had a Char Griller barbeque-smoker-firebox which worked pretty well, but had to constantly tend to it.  I have been a fan of Jeff for a long time.  His recipes and smoking methods have never let me down.  His rub & sauce are the best.

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
Happy smoken.

Thanks for the welcome.  David, I see you have a Char Broiler grill. Are you happy with it?  I've been looking at those, but I keep wondering if I should spend a little more for a higher quality grill.  I don't need a Weber anymore ( I gave mine away ) but I've heard good & bad about Char Broiler.

Thanks for the welcome.  Gotta love Oregon.
