Dave's got it right on the watering. I've also found on my hab's and jal's that minimum water makes them sweeter where more water makes them bitter. Also I mist my peppers with 1tsp of epsom salts to a gal of water in a spray bottle alternating weeks with fish emulsion as fertilizer. During flowering and fruit growth they crave mag and sulfur which is what epsom salt is. Beneficial to tomatoes also.This is helpful as a trouble shooting guide for all peppers;

A good crop this year. I have been continually cropping for a month or so but these were picked over the last few days and are now about to go into the smoker

Nice harvest there. I'd imagine you've smoked previous harvests, if so, how were the results. My last harvest this morning of hold outs. Will save seeds for next grow and smoke over stubbs w/ pecan. Last two batches ran about 15-17 hrs. Nothing like fresh smoked/dried chiles.
Nice looking chillies there too

Last years crop was not as good - but I was still pleased with what I got

I did get some usable amounts of chilli powder from it last year though

It is now November and we just cleared all of the chillies from the plants outside and I was surprised to see how many were still there...

Still a few from the greenhouse to collect.
