Guest are coming over tonight so what better way to tolerate people you dont want here in the first place is by smoking meat!

lets start with some ribs. I used a KC rub on both of them. I covered the first one with mustard to so everything would stick. looks good so far.


the 2nd rack i used maple syrup as the base.... Will it taste good? No idea!!! the only way is to try!


Finally what Meat day would be complete with out a brisket? Texas style rub on this guy because it seemed right. 


I tossed these bad boys in about 3 hours ago and smoking them with some apple. Lets see what happens :)

The ribs were excellent! The brisket was a tad dry. Left it I'm there too long all in all it was enjoyable.
 
Do u do the water in a can trick?? It works for me u take any can like green beans or corn, ripe off the paper fill it with water n put it nxt to ur flame in ur smoke box if u have one thtll keep it from bein dry n add moisture to it
 
i have a water bowl in there that was full of water. I think it open the foil on the brisket to early. ehh next time.
