Finally found 2 barrels.  The guy told me they are food grade safe drums with the lid attached.  They had a food grade sanitizer in them.  He said it was basically rubbing alcohold and would get burned up on your first time under fire.  Now, the lids are attached so I would have to cut them out.  I have acess to cutting torches and other tools at my work so would this be easy to do then?

Thanks.

Man, be careful lighting a torch to cut that thing!  If you have any residual vapors -- BOOM!  Better safe than sorry.  Some folks cut barrels and tanks while filled with water to prevent that very thing.  There are what amount to giant mechanical can openers that will remove those lids -- I've used them myself.  Might want to consider that over sparks & flames...

Otherwise, if you trust your source, the barrels would be safe after a good burn out -- assuming no liners...
