and don't suck his ass because its his site here lol no offense Jeff. But is it really worth buying? And how about the bbq sauce?

I love the rub and the sauce.. The sauce is probably the best I've tasted..

A double recipe of sauce fits almost exactly in a 44oz ketchup bottle, and I keep a couple in the refer at all times..

Granted, I haven't experimented with a lot of different sauces, and I will at some point, but I'm very happy with Jeff's..

I do spice it up a tad though.

It's really easy and short and sweet too.

YES IT"S THAT GOOD

i have never made bbq sauce from scratch is it a lot of work? i just found that cattleman's smokey flavor from sams is a good base to make my own different kinds with, as far as hot or sweet

IT IS WORTH IT BY FAR!!!
I make it by the 5 gallon bucketfull, with fresh spices from the Whole foods store it is a huge bargain. I love the stuff.
My best tip about it is to go to the bulk food store, test out all the different Paprika's they have on offer. Find the one you like because they are all different. That makes a world of difference in your rub. Some paprika has no heat at all and is as tasty as chalk dust. Some kinds have a good kick and a wonderful taste.

I do make my own BBQ sauce which I like better than Jeff's or even Sweet Baby Ray's, but my Wife likes Jeff's better. Whether its just to spite me or maybe it is better I don't really know.

At what I paid for the recipes and Membership and the 5 day ecourse I paid for I still think it was the bargain of the century because it helps this great site operate. The count says I have 800+ posts but in fact due to the crash I actually have about 2200. That makes my contribution to this website about 2 cents per post.

This has been my 2 cents worth.

PS. Jeff is a poop. <-------- see no sucking up from me.

Well you probably want to tweak it some to your taste, but it is definitely worth it. Sauce too. The sauce is one of two I make, the other being Dewey's Dirt Road Sauce. Jeff's leans towards a sweet, while Dewey's has a vinegar flavor. Being you get the recipe for both, how can you go wrong.

That's really what it's all about... Jeff's rub is only a base for me to tweak from there... but it was worth using it that way and also to join the club of supporters.

If you dont like it Jeff has a 100% money back guarantee so what do you have to lose?

??? There is a real good book by by Dale Carnegie called "How to Win Friends and Influence People" that I would recommend to you, it is good reading...

Since the sauce sales help support the site, I felt it well worth the cost also the premium membership is worth the cost...

As the owner of several forums and web sites I appreciate the work and costs involved in maintaining a quality site...

Since the cost of the recipe is only about what you would spend on about 3 bottles of store bought cookie cutter sauce, what have you got to loose?

Brian, that's a simple and good answer, thanks.

A must read for everyone, great book. In fact, I wish they made that mandatory in our public schools. How much better off our kids would be if they cracked the cover on that one.

I've just gone one question about it, does it use any "brand" name ingredients at all, or is it all generally spices + Herbs.

Its just that I've bought recipes from the USA before and not been able to get hold of the right ingredients in the UK to make them.

Thanks in advance.

Alex

Have no fear Grasshopper, it contains no brand name products, just raw materials, spices, herbs etc. You will be able to purchase them at the local grocery store.

PS. We have the same problem in Canada but in this case you probably have most of the ingredients in your kitchen already.

Brian is right , you have nothing to fear because it has a money back guarantee.

Buying Jeff's recipes is one of the first things I did when I ran across this site. I have no regrets in doing so. Both are excellent. I have only made the sauce a couple of times. While it is excellent I just think there are so many good off the shelf sauces you can buy that I don't take the time to make Jeffs.
Seems that smoke days are busy enough with prep time already.
The rub is excellent too and after you have made it several times you can whip it up in a hurry. I have tweaked on it with different things everytime I have made it. It is never the same rub twice and I have never been disappointed.

It only contains spices and DOES NOT REQUIRE brand names...

Hope this helps...
