'Evening, all. I stumbled across this site the other day while trying to figure out what was wrong with my CharGriller side box ... Couldn't get her hot enough while grilling my first turkey of the season. Saw the thread on how to mod the smoker, and said "these are my kind of people!"
I'm a husband and Dad, grew up in the Adirondacks, moved to Alaska after college. Back to NY for a bit, and been in Tidewater Virginia almost 20 years now, working living history museums since 1991. I usually smoke on the CharGriller, but I have also done a lot on a wooden rack over a low fire. However we get there, in the end it's meat and smoke, and it's all good! (Well, except that one time...)
