I came across this forum while looking for info on building a smoker. My wife and daughter-in-law have asked me to build them a smokehouse. They plan to on cold & hot smoking. So, any suggestions on design & what to read to get me going in the right direction will be appreciated. Our 2 families live on neighboring properties in Harvest,AL, and have plenty of area to build a smokehouse. Our families buy at least 1 cow & 1 pig each year. This gives us plenty of meat to try our hand at smoking.
