Installing/Running in garage

I'm looking for any experience or opinions from the veteran smokers here since I am a newbie.

I want to permanently set up my smoker inside my 2-1/2 car detached garage. My intention/desire is to vent the heat/smoke from the top of my new smoke hollow pro 44 out of the garage

via six inch pipe I previously used for a woodburner I used in the garage. I am aware that the paperwork for the unit says not to run indoor or enclosed space - I am presuming this is

due to no venting, which in my scenario is a non issue. The adjoining walls in that corner are already covered with cement board for heat/fire safety from woodburner installation. I hesitate to even pose this question to manufacturer, as I expect their response to be based on protecting themselves from liability - not the practical application at hand. Is there something glaring

that I am not considering that just makes this a no go period ? Any thought or opinions welcome. Thanks

NO and I must emphasize No. Even if you duct outside, it's the propane that's the killer. Propane is heavier than air so if or when there is a leak it builds from the floor up till there's ignition and it's all over. In 26 years as a plumbing heating contractor i've seen the results of this scenario with homeowner having l p devices in garages. Rethink. JMHO.

Well caught wimpy!!  On my first read I totally missed the propane.  Even when I read your response my thought was "propane"??  "Who mentioned propane"??  I had to reread the original post and look up the smoker.  WELL DONE!!  Keep Smokin!

Just for the sake of debate, how is this different from a propane furnace, fridge, heater or other appliance as long as it's properly maintained and working correctly? An extra measure of safety could be obtained by adding a propane detector like they have in RV's. Just sayin'.
