New to the site. From ohio spent 60 days in Waco Texas ate at viteksand the other local spots, I wanted to figure out how to use a smoker. Bought a master forge charcoal smoker from lowes. So far I've smoked brisket, chicken, baby back ribs, and salmon. Trying a Boston butt and wings this weekend. Im so glad to have found this hobby.. I'm complete obsessed and trying to learn as much as possible.

Just wanted to introduce myself. Happy smoking

Howdee Dialed In. I am sitting here chuckling thinking about your post, usually after 60 days most folks just stay in Texas (if allowed), its just easier than trying to change the rest of the country.

Its a pleasure to meet you. I am still laughing. Lets talk search engine, it has so much info..... be sure to be specific in your requests, its that good. Research is not your only, although the fastest and most efficent, way to find help. You soon see folks here helping you to transitition into the site so you can get the max out of it. How will you know the Guru's? They will either have a Moderator tag or a OTBS (Order of the Thin Blue Smoke) tag. Those be some pretty smart folks, well about smoking and all things involved with this sight whish when you start looking around is pretty impressive. Then there are the regular folks, we came here looking for something and realize how much this place has to offer. Besides that everyone has something to offer. Be sure and take pictures, everyone wants to feel party of your achievements and hopefully you'll impress others to try something different.

As you confessed to being hooked already I'll make a suggestion. Its the same one a wise man told me. When you start cooking, get a notebook, pad, journal, whatever, and take notes of what you cooked and how. What you liked and didn't and why. What you want to try the next smoke. Believe me, you menory is going to get worse not better. besides just think, you do the worlds most perfect smoke and celibrate your achievement and then forget how you did it..... Oh my!

You'll like it here, I can tell from your opening post. Its fun, remember that, there is no stress allowed.

Make sure and open you profile and add where you are located because imformation can be that specific.

I am babbling again, welcome to the site, enjoy the smoke, and welcome to my addiction.
