Hey Everyone, 

I've been lurking here on SMF for a year or two now as SMF is such an incredible source of friendly, and delicious information.  

About me: I live in the western burbs of Minneapolis, I'm a life long cook, Father of 2 teens, cyclist , business owner and I've been smoking meats for a couple of years now.   I use an MES 30 at the moment, it's my first but I know it won't be my last smoker.  I've done a lot in it already and in no small part it is due to all the great advice and recipes I've gleaned from SMF.   

PRESS ALERT:  I figured it was time to make myself know on SMF because I wanted to let you all know about this: On memorial day weekend every year I participate in SMOKAPALOOZA with some buddies. It's an incredible day of Meat, Fire, and beer.   This year the Minneapolis Star Tribune thought it was worth covering for their food section.  See link below -  SMF got some free publicity as I got the link into the article as one of the places to go if you want to learn about smoking.  "SMOKING MEAT IN MASS QUANTITIES PAYS OFF" 

Well, I'm glad to officially be a member.   Smoke on Brothers and Sisters!

Welcome to the forums, Jess!  Glad you've joined us.  You've found a great place to learn and share ideas on our favorite pastimes...grilling, smoking, and curing great food!  There are lots of friendly and knowledgeable folks here who really enjoy helping one another.  Just ask any time you need help and you'll get plenty!
