I think it's contagious. I've got it too!
So, I've decided to share my 12 Step program for Smokaholics
Step 1: Admit you have a problem: you can't get enough smoked meats
Step 2. Visit local hardware stores, linger in the BBQ section. Ask a lot of questions.
Step 3. Start dropping hints to the spouse that it sure would be nice to get a smoker for Christmas.
Step 4. Stockpile and season smoker woods
Step 5. Join SMF and enroll in Jeff's 5 Day smoker course
Step 6. Bring smoker home, practice fire control
Step 7. Buy ribs
Step 8. Mix up and apply some rub
Step 9. Bring smoker up to temperature
Step 10. Add ribs
Step 11. Maintain constant temperature for 6 hours
Step 12. Remove ribs and eat!
I'm on step 11 right now!
Welcome Ralph! Of all the things we could get wrapped up in my wife is happy I am a "smoker" of meats. She does get frustrated a few times because I am always wanting something bigger "just in case" we need it! Oh well.
