My wife spotted this and got me one. I decided to purchase a second one. 2 probes would be $50.00. I got another unit for $65.00. So I have 4 probes and a spare head unit.

Son of a .... I should have thought of that.

Ok, got the two igrill2 units. Both are working well. I can get about 100 feet and 2 walls maximum. But, for bluetooth that is just fine. So I have 2 yellow and 2 red probes

Don't worry after enough smokes the color disappears. And then all the probes are the same color.

Did a smoke with the new iGrill system. I enjoyed the ability to have it on my phone or tablet. It did

seem to go to "sleep" or disconnect a couple times. It was sitting on the coffee table and registering

just fine, the 5 minutes later it was disconnected. Not sure if it is and Android thing or an iGrill thing.

But, overall it worked well. One meat probe in a ball of foil on the shelf and one in the country ribs.

Meat probe worked just fine as an ambient probe. Temperature was within 2 degrees of my Maverick

probe.

I will use both of these systems. The iGrill for most of my cooking, and the Maverick for my spare

smoker when it is at the barn area. About 200 feet away.

Great to hear!

As for the disconnect issues ... connected to my iPad I have run it for close to 20 hours with no disconnects.  Check to see if there are any software updates.  I have also found some devices have better BT range than others, for example my new iPhone gets 2-3x as much range as my 3rd gen iPad.
