i need shelving to start my proofer smoker

alright ladies and gents. where is a good start to make some smoker grates ? where can i get material ? perferbelly just sheet or roll material doesnt have to be fancy

get a sheet of expanded steel. Or go to the scrap yard. Im sure you can get something there cheap.

Another place to try is any appliance repair place . they have the racks out of ovens laying around.

I went to an appliance repair shop.  They let me have the racks from any of the stoves they had taken out of houses when they installed new stoves.  These fit perfectly in my proofer smoker.

Clargeo, Where are you located? Depending on what you what to use, I have a restaurant supply house nearby that I frequent and they have trays made to fit  most racks…..Chrome will probably be cheaper that stainless, but that depends on how much you want to spend….
