Isn't she pretty?

It's a birfday present from the wifey to me.

First time I've ever owned a charcoal smoker before. It's going to be fun getting to know one another.

Congratulations!  May you both have a long and happy relationship together!  Now, get 'er dirty!

Ha! I honestly don't know yet. I'm ready "Low and Slow" by Gary Wiviott so I can get a little more familiar with charcoal cooking and smoking.

It's all new to me. Been a gas grill guy all my life, so this will be a fun ride.

Happy Birthday!  I'm Jersey bound next weekend...I want to be smellin' smoke when I cross the River!...Good Luck...JJ

That's a great birthday present! Be sure you cook your wife's favorite, whatever that may be, often to thank her.

There's a lot of great information and experience available here, and on  The Virtual Weber Bulletin Board, as you probably already know.  Get to know the WSM and how it behaves, and you'll love it as much as the rest of us do.

WSM'S are good smokers right out of the box. With a few mods they are GREAT smokers. Enjoy your new smoker. Now go season that bad boy up and smoke something.
