[IMG] We got our pork butts up to 160 int temp, instead of wrapping them and cooking to 200 I wrapped them and set them in the cooler to rest. And they sat for 6 hours. Can I still save these? Int temp dropped to 147, wonder if I can start from there and continue as usual? Any suggestions would help, I'd hate to toss both these yummy butts!

I would throw them back on the smoker or in the oven and finish them off. [IMG]
  3. Either toss em back on the smoker and go to 200 or pull them out and slice em up for sandwich meat

    What they said.

The temp stayed above 140° so that's good. [IMG]

Done stuff like this many times when I had to serve something right at a specific time. I usually finish them in a low 200 or so oven. They should be fine.

Yea if you don't want to slice them then throw them back on and bring them up to 200 like they said. Good luck.

Pork butts as long as they go over 140 degrees are very forgiving. They will most likely come out awesome!
