Meat loaf

This is my first meat loaf

My ingredients:

1.1 kg beef mince
300 g ground pork
3 eggs
1 yellow bell pepper
2 tablespoons oregano
2 tablespoons rub
1 onion
2 cloves garlic

Wash and cut the vegetables
Mix the ground meat and other ingredients together
Create a sort of sausages

Sprinkle over a little rub
Smoke to taste, to an internal temperature of 160 degrees fahrenheit

it was nice, but we prefer a fattie

Thanks for looking

Geert

Very nice Treegje! Meat loaf is on my short list of things to do along with a fattie. Yours looks mighty tasty! You have excellent camera skills as well

Looks good Geert. One thing I noticed is the meat in the packages is super lean. Is that how it is typically in Belgium or do you just prefer it that way. I like mine about 20% fat, which might explain why I'm overweight

This is here average ground beef
Therefore, I also added some ground pork in

I already have my pork butt on the smoker this a.m. (1 hr 45 miins so far) and will be putting 2 meatloafs (meatloaves?) on around 8:30 or (9:00) for a lunch time BBQ.

Anybody else out there already cookin? and whats on the menu?

For my meatloaf, I use ground chuck and ground pork, peppers and onions (sauteed before mixing into meat), every body tells me they love it.

Treedje, with you being in Belgium, was that meatloaf cooked today? Looks great.
