Hello Smokers,

I've been grilling on a round 22" Weber for many many years, Now I'd like to try my hand at smoking.
I just came here just looking for a good smoker to buy, omg I had no idea of what I was getting into, WOW :)

Wood, Pellet, Gas, Electric, Charcoal, wow, I'm still uncertain on the type of smoker I want, lol
The wealth of information here is staggering.
Thankfully I stopped here before I purchased anything, hehe

Glad you joined us M1Garand, welcome to SMF!

As other have said, take your time deciding on which smoker is best for you, in the mean time your 22 1/2 Weber kettle is a great smoker itself, you can cook indirect and smoke with it just like any smoker. I have a few Weber kettles and the food quality off them is very good. Keep in mind this is a very addictive hobby and if you stick with it I would bet a 2 years from now you will probably have 2 or 3 more smokers!

I too have the 22.5 inch weber--actually two. The oldest one is almost 30 years old and like a member of the family....lol!

Anyway, get ready to take your smoking to another level.
