New guy to the board, and smoking. Really hoping to learn a lot. Have been eating smoked meats for years, just wanting to do my own now. Just picked up a Masterbuilt electric smoker. Looking forward to working it over. I hope I don't get on everyone's nerves with questions. Be patient with the new guy PLEASE!

Nice to meet ya Mike and thank you for your service. Is your Masterbuilt a 30 or a 40? Gen1 or Gen2? Are the controls on the front on the top, or on the back on the top? Or might you have a new bluetooth adnd we'll all learn from you?

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...

Foamheart, Bought it used, so it is already seasoned. Great shape. It is the 30" sportsman elite. Has the controls on the top front, with remote. Son and I got back from Texas a couple weeks ago, from a pig hunt. I'm going to throw some wild boar brats in her tomorrow. I'm going to trya couple different batches, with different woods.
