Hey everyone! I am new and glad to be here! We live in Mesa, Arizona and along with my wife (from now on, I will refer to her as THE Admiral) we have three kids. Our oldest Ty is 12, he is my co pilot when we do our weekend bbq. Zack is just newly 10 and watches us closely anticipating when he get's his turn on the grill. My baby is 8, her name is Sara. She has absolutely NO interest in what we do outside around the grill lol. But you shouldn't discount her because she is THE best shlepper you have ever seen! She can go and get spices, plates, utensils, sauces and drinks like NO ones business! lol Plus, she helps The Admiral with the breads she makes from scratch. I just bought my first house, it is paid off and the general mood around here is AWESOME. After moving in, I found a 55 gallon drum grill at a yard sale, there is a lot of room for improvement (like the COWBOYS logo stamped into the handle that I absolutely had to sand off) but it works great as a normal grill. I plan to smoke on it tomorrow. I asked for a pork butt so I can do some pulled sandwiches but she got sirloin. The Admiral told me to deal with it  because she likes everything I make, so I will. Anyway, I look forward to trying new ideas, methods, recipes and swapping stories with everyone I meet here. Thank you for providing a place we outdoor cooking nuts can congregate. -Jon

lol, I tell you, I would be glad to move there. I don't like it here either. Truth is, I miss those things.......oh man, they are all green and leafy.....think they're called trees, yeah that's it, trees! I also miss that stuff that flows on the ground, sometimes in a bed......damn, I think it's referred to as water or something. lol This is the most hot and dirty place I have ever been, next to Africa. This place ain't got nothing on Djibouti, but I digress. I was born here, raised in Northern California and Southern Oregon, came back here after the Navy. I miss it, but will be here for awhile, at least until the kids get out of school.
