How to incorporate a smoke house into the landscape

Now that I got this Smoke House well underway I need a few ideas on how to incorporate it into the overall landscape of the yard and patio.

I sure would like to see your pics to give us an idea. 

The little lady would like it nice.  You know if "Mama's not happy aint nobody gonna be happy"

In building this I put together a very temporary stepping stone spot in the yard.  It works but needs to be better for sure.

Show me your setup.

Ray, morning.....  Nice lookin' smoke house....  If you have good Q.... and you serve it when friends come over....  and you give some to the neighbors.....  When folks come over they will only say good things about your smoke house and how beautiful it is....  Take some Q to the homeowners association meetings..... I've heard "buying votes" is appropriate.....

i'd just put a couple of chairs in front of it with a small beverage table in between...........then light up a cigar and just admire it!

Either pour a cement pad or lay flagstone and incorporate your grill and a prep table with wood-built undercabinet for storage, add outdoor table and Adirondack chairs and a path to and from the fridge!

Mornin Ray, great job on the smoke house! I showed it to my wife and she said it was beautiful! A few sheets lattice on treated 4x4's put in the ground with flowering vines would dress it up some. Just a thought.

I think it deserves a cover over the area for those rainy days and like Jerry said turn it into your outdoor man cave

Been considering running  a gas line out to the little house out back, so while we're at it some electricity sure would come in handy.  Maybe a porch lite. That would make the dark hours smoke a little easier.

And while we're on the subject of lights has anybody ever put a light inside a smoke house?  Seems the last cook I did I had a flash light in my teeth trying to see how its going.  Add a window so you could see the progress without opening the door. I suspect that cleaning the window would be something that would just have to be.  And thats ok.  A glass out of a oven door would withstand the temps.  This could work !  A window in the door and a light inside.  All the comforts of home.

If that doesn't work, don't touch the smokehouse?  Change the landscape!

I kinda cheated on mine, I built it on the deck so it's facing in and under the eave; have the porch light for night time smoking, can smoke when it's pouring out, in 50 mph winds, our 4 hours of snow per year, lol.  Not real pretty but the wife's accepted it, lol.

Was going to suggest flower box on either side but I think they would get to hot ..  maybe tho work on that back fence area some vines would look nice .. is there anything else in your yard that you could tie it with ..

The leftover wood from the fence project was what I used for the exterior of the house.  Fence and house is red cedar.

Pops as you well  know, until this spring, rain has not been much of a problem for us in Tex.    And "snow" .... whats that?

And just to let you know, when I decided to build a house I studied your creation very carefully.
