Ok am outside with my new toy right now. Yesterday I got a propane SMS from bass proshop. I was wanting the 24in camp chef but they are on backorder till the end of April. I have to say I like this smoker so far it has 4 racks and I can lay full racks of ribs in there it is bigger than what I thought it was going to be. I have it going right now I let it burn for about 30min on high and then sprayed some canola oil in it and it is still going.I hope I did not hurt it by doing that. How long should I let it go before I can put some meat in? Thanks for your time and info.

I usually burn mine in for 2-3 hours and I usually spray cooking oil or Pam in the smoker. While it is burning in I am usually bringing it up and down in temp trying to figure out how the smoker is going to react. Once you have it figured out throw some meat on there.

Congrats on the new smoker. I usually go a couple hours to season as well

Congrats on the new smoker and you shopuld really look at those smake vaults too. I have one and it's a realnice smoker. Now for your seasoning I would let it burn maybe 3-4 hours or so and then light her up and go smoking.
