Thanks for posting this. I'm going to have a boatload (for me, lol) of jalapenos that I'd love to make chipotles with.

Thanks ALX, excellent tutorial as usual...

ALX,

That looks amazing. Chipotles are one of my favorite, and it is good to see how a chile expert would smoke them. I burned up a whole batch a couple of years ago, and never tried again. With my new found knowledge, I may try once more.

Good information and impressive as usual.

Awesome post Alex! Beautiful peppers and this will be one I make sure to bookmark.
That is really a beautiful color, especially the once powdered, nice deep and red.

Going to check if I can get my GOSM to run that low a temp so I
can try this. I made an attempt a couple years ago but ended up with
too much of a burnt flavor.

Two questions.....

Without a dehydrator, what should I do after putting the smoke on them?

How do you make them into powder so nicely?

Alex, that is a great way of making red jalapeno chipotle.I envy th fact that you have so many more plants than I, allowing you to make a decent batch. Thanks for sharing the good information. Points to you.
