how do you use this site ?

what is a ' thread ? Why are ther all these different sections ? Why do the pages seem to run in reverse ? You have to go to the bottom of the page to see the original question ? then scroll up to see the replies ?I love the info I have been seeing here but it seems very difficult to navigate. Everyone seems so nice and very willing to share thier know - how and all but can someone simplify it for my pea brain ? HELP

A thread is the name of a discussion topic.. for instance the name of this thread is "How do you use this site"

Well, some people want to know about pork, some beef, some beans. That's the reason for the different "Forums", or posts about similar subjects.

Hmm can't seem to find it, but I'm sure there's a setup in the user CP or somewhere for this...view in oldest to newest or visa-versa...anyone know?

This site is fairly standard in it's operation. Possibly you are kind of new to forum type boards? Or at least have not used Vbulletin <The name of this board's software> before.

It will become more familiar and easier to use with a bit of practice... We're glad to help ya too!

To make the threads run in reverse you need to change them in your personal settings in your profile.

Click "User CP" (up top)
Click "Edit Options" (on the left)
Scroll down to the "Thread Display" section
Change the "Thread Display Mode" pulldown as you like.

i also like to read the newest first.......CEPT when i do a search........then i want to see the first post first page........instead of going to the last page and werking backwards..........
