Andy - PRETTY WORK!!!! The pics are great and the detail put into the build is definitely something to be proud of.

Wow looks great

I built a small brake but was not strong enough to bend the metal. All pieces were bent using a 1/2 inch thick piece of "cold rolled steel" and a hammer. It took forever. I think some of the close up shoots you can see the hammer marks.
Andy.

Serious skills there. I don't see any hammer marks. Looks like you could build an airplane if you wanted.

Pretty impressive Andy. Have to remember that one on the 1/2 inch steel idea! Nice job on the firebox grate too, did ya have to drill all the holes?

What gauge is your steel?

Looking Great!

Steve

Yes Steve, I drilled all the holes using a small drill press. Everything is being made for 16 gage steel other than the base and legs. Pics of this will come soon.

Thanks for all the great comments everyone.
Andy.

Here is an update.

The first 2 pics show the size in relationship to my gosm big block. The third and forth pic show the base. I have added an extra plate with a tapped hole on each leg to screw in an adjustable foot. This will come in handy on uneven ground. Simply unscrew the feet to adjust and take out all the rocking.
I think I will do this to the gosm as well. (Once this smoker is done).
All these pics are also posted in photobucket if you want look at the original sized pics.
Whats left on the smoker.....
1- cutting all vents
2-adjusting door hinges
3-figuring out the door handles
4- tack welding the top on
Everything on the main body of the smoker is only tack welded for now. Once the above is all finished, will set it up for a trial smoke to see if any mods need to take place.

Here is the next set of pics of the smoker. I will fire it up this coming weekend for a test run. Full size pics will be uploaded to the link below.
Also, I would like some imput from as many as possible. Since I have put alot of time and effort into this project, what is your opinion and a paint scheme? Looking for sugestions.
