Has anyone ever used any high heat paint other than black. I know it should have ceramic but the high heat paints (aerosol) didn't work very well around the fire box. Ive also seen this and wondered how did they paint that?  Any suggestions?

Great looking smokers!

Automotive high heat paint works great. It's expensive but it works great for detail work.

Well, the second pit is insulated so you can paint it with regular paint...no problem.  There are definitely high temp paints in colors and as long as the heat isnt too intense, they should have good longevity.
