I'm new to this forum, but not to smoking. My tax rebate present to myself is going to be a Charbroil electric H2O smoker. I chose the Charbroil over the ecb because with the Charbroil, you can adjust the tempurature without modifying the smoker. I'm still going to put a vent in place of the tempurature gauge that comes with it and install a digital thermometer. Also, I'm going to put insulator wraps around it. After all that, I should be ready to use my new smoker. I got the information about the mods I'll make from this forum actually. Lots of good information here and I'm glad to be here.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm smoking some Boston butts for the fourth. I'm going to marinate them in one part Captain Morgan spiced rum and three parts apple juice and smoke them with apple wood. I probably won't be able to post a picture, since I don't have a digital camera.
