Glad i found this site as theres nothing like it over here!!
I live in the Fens near Cambridge, England where i do alot of wildfowling (waterfowler) & shooting being my main interest with big bore guns.
Been smoking agood few years now with my DIY smokers as over here there is nothing you can buy, like the choice you have.

Brought back from Texas a Brinkman which i hotsmoke with & cold smoke in my DIY's. On mark2 now which works a treat ( i will post afew pic's)
Smoke beef, pork, chicken, Fish as well as duck, goose, cheese, garlic etc.
I want to learn more about rubs & flavorings as well as useing different cuts of meat & trade secrets from YOU the experts.

Being a semi retired builder i have some time to 'play about'

Looks like theres a few years of threads to sift my way thr'u.

Hello, and welcome to the site. There are lots of friendly folks here, who are willing to help out all us newcomers.
Look around a while, and you will see some pretty impressive homemade smokers, that are simple to build.

Cheers!

I am chuckleing over on this side cause I can read your accent. Some of the best times in my life were spent in a some pub in London. Newcastle brown will SHORE smack ya down!

I am a newbie myself and can just tell ya read what these "yanks" are talkin about, ask questions....They are jolly good BBQers and very helpful. Made me see what Ive been doing WRONG the whole time!

Welcome

Hey Fenman. This place is definitely the place if you're into smoking meat.

Yep i'm another brit moved from Kent to smalltown middle america.

The whole bbq thing is huge here. I got my first smoker after being here for two years. Had never even cooked any bbq till moving here. Now i'm hooked.
Had been wondering if this kind of cooking had taken off over there at all and what kind grills were available. My family visited me here last summer for two weeks and i think we had half our meals from either the grill or smoker. They were really impressed.

Anyway, look around the threads, you'll find so much good info here and the people are here are the best.

Howdy Fenman....lost of really great souls here. A ton of info and if yer ever stuck...there'll be people coming outta the screen to help ya....Cheers!
