Welcome to the group!  I don't know much about the pellet tube except that it needs oxygen to stay lit.  Lots of folks here with electrics and pellet tubes though, I'm sure help will be here shortly!

Welcome to the site Anthony.  I have 2 of the 6 inch tubes, but use them in my WSM charcoal smoker.  As Mike mentioned they may need a special technique in your electric smoker.

I light mine with a small propane torch and have no trouble keeping them going in the charcoal smoker.

From what I've read through other threads the common solution is light with propane until there is a decent flame and blow out so cherry resembles a lit cigar. Blow down and towards unlit pellets to ensure burn follows fuel. Most say they open their chip loader 1/2 way to full, depending on wind, and place their cylinders or maze near opening. Primary culprit to poor burn sounds like lack of oxygen, or draft, as long as pellets are dry and not getting dripped on. If you can't get enough oxygen to keep lit I recommend searching mailbox mod! Lots of great tricks people do to increase their MES efficiency and TBS! Good luck!
