Hi from upstate NY

Hi,

I have had a Meco 5000 bullet type smoker (looks like an ECB Clone) for 20+ years. Never used it much due to lack of heat. This summer I decided to really try to get some good food out of it. Did some tasty stuff, but knew it could be better. Googled around and found this forum. Man alive! What a great place! So I'm doing mods and having fun. (I love to putter)

I just made a $2 chimney starter yesterday, don't know if it will work well enough, but it kept me entertained for the afternoon

 Took pictures of the build, so if it isn't totally worthless, I'll post them later. 

Bout it for now, just wanted to say hi to everyone and thanks for such a good resource.

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
