While it may not be the exact "Great White North" as described in the Bob & Doug McKenkie songs, we still are in the northeast part of the United States. We still have snow and yes, we still consume mass quantities of adult beverages here too.

I was led to your site by a Google search for temperature variances in my propane smoker (Smoke Hollow / Gander Mtn). Last weekend, I made Polish Kielbasa and it was a tad bit overcooked when it came out of the smoker. My thermometer, as it turned out, was 15 degrees low.

Looking forward to learning more on making and smoking meats!

Jack

Guys,
I've been surfing around your site for the past week. You have helped me through my initial smoke and more. As a matter of fact, my daughter asked us tonight, if we could have some pulled pork next weekend. Go figure!!

Good day Aaa...
You have found the Hosiers from the Great White Smoking North eehhh...?

I love Kielbasa, but you really have to calibrate your meat thermometer......

Do a site search, pulled pork is the specialty !!! Honestly, you will be be more than happy with what you serve to your guests if you follow how to smoke it and prepare it all the way..... just do not forget the finishing sauce !!!

Welcome to the SMF Jack! Great place to learn and teach about bbq!!
