Hi from South Carolina

  1. I have been bbqing for about three years and learning as I go. I have to say I am excited because I just ordered the "Tailgater" reverse flow smoker from custom pits in Georgia. I upgraded the smoker by adding custom wheels and a firewood box. They are buiding it for me and will be ready for pick up the first week in February.
    I am a cetified dietary manager and certified food protection professional. My title at work is a nutritional specialist. I have been through culinary school but I am still learning. I enjoy bbqing when time allows. I hope to inter competitions at some point. Just a humble bbqer.

    May vinegar sauce be our king and mustard sauce be our queen.

  4. Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
    About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
    and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
    We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
    Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
    because their are so many different ways to make great Q...

  6. Thanks for the warm welcome!!! Once I pick up my smoker I will be glad to post pictures. I guess my first project will be to season the smoker.
