Hi everyone,

I have been browsing this forum for a couple days now and decided it is time to join up. Here is a little bit about me.

Name: Jeff

Location: Regina Saskatchewan

Hobbies: Fishing, Books, Video Games & hopefully Meat Smoking

Smoking Abilities: Fairly new to this! I have gone half into a sausage kit with my buddy who has a smoker and quite enjoyed the results. My dad and our old neighbour built a smoker from an old fridge and rigged it to propane, didn't work good from what I remember (I was a kid who just raided the jerky and sausage as soon as it came out). I got a cheap smoker for a present last xmas and just tried it out (yes I know, its been in the box a long time. But there was a move in May so my wife didn't want the smoke smell in the moving trailer), was not a good result. It did not get hot enough inside to cook the sausage so I am a bit discouraged from that.

I am now looking into building a small smoker for sausage. I will start a new thread in the appropriate place for help with that.

I Hope to be fairly active on here.

Thanks

Jeff

Jeff I am pretty new and learning a lot from this forum. I am going to try making some sausage for smoking so if you have a good recipe you don't mind posting I would like to give it a try.

Have fun with your cooks!

So far I have just bought the prebuilt packages and mixed it in with a 70/30 beef/pork mix. Everyone loves it but no recipe. Once I get a proper smoker built and get going into this a bit more I may try out some recipes. Thanks for the welcome aboard.
