I've been yearning to explore something beyond my simple gas grill. A local company has the Chargriller Smokin' Pro on sale for $139 w/ side fire box. Money's tight and this seems a good deal.

Ohio! I grew up in that state.
I finally found a town out here in California that reminds me of small town life I grew up with in the Ohio Valley. The only thing missing is the fireflies and snow days!

Welcome to the forum. There are lots of friendly folks around here with tons of knowledge and ideas. Just browse through the threads and check out anything that catches your eye. Be sure to throw your two cents in anytime you can. That Smokin Pro (CGSP) is a good cooker. I have one myself and love it. Look for the mods everyone around here likes to do on it.

Tom, Welcome to the SMF. Not sure of your level but in addition to the 5 day e-course already mentioned, Jeff's rub recipes (a few $) are a great start. I have not ventured to modify them yet. (noob myself)
