Came here researching Masterbuilt smokers. Recently had one catch fire but bought another. Tips are good!

Please go to the forums and look down the list

until you hit electric smokers.

Start a new thread and explain what happened, there's

a lot of good folks on here using these.

If you can keep one of them from the same problem

please do it.

want to be reading about any fires.

Haha! I'm not the best either, but I think this site is a lot easier to get around than others. It just takes a little exploring and making a few mistakes (just like smoking!)!

What I did when I first started here was used the search function at upper right(magnifying glass) and type in a key word to find topics/forums I wanted to read or post on. For your current issue type in Masterbuilt electric smokers. Then a whole bunch of existing threads will come up, click on on of those and look at the upper left for "start new thread" click on that and the rest is self explanatory.

Or if you look at top menu bar there is a "forum" button you can click on. When that gets clicked all the different forum subjucts show up. A few minutes of clicking on those and you'll find where most stuff is.

Until you get used to it, the best way is to click on "New Posts", near the top right of the page.

Then open whatever interests you in that list.

I use that the Majority of the time.

Then you can check other things out along the way.

Thanks for the responses. Great to know there are lots of smoke brothers out there!
To be clear, my problem was with a gas smoker. Decided I had a bad hide ( squirrels ?).
Got a new one and works well. Don't recommend the mayonnaise coating approach on ribs. Works great on chicken, ribs not so much.
Following Aaron on briskest. Simple is better!
