Hello,

I am Posterchild and I live in Naples, Italy. I am an American employed over here with the Navy.

I have a cheapo offset (1280) I got at the exchange and am working on modding it here. We don't have Home Depots and such, so there are challenged getting parts. Waiting on a lot of stuff from Amazon now to seal it up and take care of some mods. I stepped up from the tiny char grill, it was just not usable for me, but I have learned a lot from it and its problems.

We have butcher shops all over, and Italians do pig good, but not so much good beef from what my friends say. I can get beef on base, but the cuts are limited. It actually is pretty decent and cheap for steaks and the smaller cuts. I look forward to experimenting with what I can get.

/Cheers, JP

Welcome to the SMF Family...Get out and around more. My oldest Chef Daughter spent 5 months in Orvieto training. Made me jealous talking about how great the Beef was even though it cost big Euro's. And it might sound strange to you but Casey said the BEST meat she had the entire trip was HORSE!...JJ
