My name is Alan, I live in Huntsville, Texas, and I have been smoking on my homemade stickburner for several years. I just picked up a GOSM propane off of Craigslist for $50.00

, I was planning to get a new one from Bass Pro Shops, but couldnt pass that up.

I have some knowledge, but still have a lot to learn. I have been lurking around the board for several months now and have already learned alot.

I will try out the GOSM this weekend. Q-view to come soon.

Welcome aboard.....!!! Check out some of the threads about some of the mods. for the GOSM......have one myself....love it....just added a needle valve for better temp. control at low end.....Lot of nice people here....enjoy.....

First off welcome Alan to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are abunch of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anything to do with smoking. We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. So I hope you know about the Qview here.

It's also free and it will give you the basics of smoking. So after all of that you just need to go grab something to smoke and if you have any question just post them here and we will answer it quickly so you don't have any mishaps with your smoke.
