Hi all,

My name is Dan and I am from Central Ontario and I just ordered my first smoker(almost sounds like I'm at an AA meeting).  I ordered a Masterbuilt 30" from Cabelas as my own Christmas gift. Over the years I have enjoyed some great BBQ from all over North America and I figured it's time to start making it myself.

After reading here I am sure I have come to the right place,
Dan

Good evening and welcome to the forum, from a overcast, gloomy and rainy day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Welcome from a fellow Canadian, Dan.

You have come to the right place to learn about smoking. I didn't have a lot of success with smoking until I found these forums. As for being like AA, it is true the smoking is addicting but there are no self help groups or treatment. So, be aware, if you start smoking you will be doomed to making great food and having fun.

I look forward to your posts.
