Been looking around your site for some time and decided to make it official and join.

I'm from Rio Rancho, NM. Retired.Smoked my first turkey some 25-26 years ago. Was worried about Thanksgiving bird being my first smoke and weather anyone would go for the smoked bird so I made a oven roast as a backup No left overs on the smoked bird 1 whole oven roast left over. My favorite smoker is a Charcoal Brinkman converted to gas (0n my third one now). Trying to go electric. Got a MES 30 gen 1. tried seasoning it today shut it off after 2 hours when display hit 305, Maverick display 355. New controller on the way in. That's it for now. Hope to learn some new stuff here.
