    Hi My name is Tommy,

    I live in Raleigh NC.

    My son is 14 and we are avid hunters and fisherman. We recently, for our B-Days got a 30" Master Built Electric Smoker (Model 020070213). We are truly beginners and are interested in smoking our own Deer Summer Sausage and other items.

    So far we have done a turkey breast, whole brisket, Cheese, and Deer Jerky.   

    We look forward to learning from here and seeking knowledge with some issues we are experiencing.

    Welcome aboard Tommy.  Welcome also to the smoking hobby.  I think it's great that it's another thing you and your son can learn and do together.  There are a lot of electric smoker owners here and there is a specific page for electric smokers.  You are likely to get more attention to questions about your smoker if you post them on that page.

  4. Welcome to the forum. This is a great place to learn and share ideas. The search bar works great for finding info. If you don't find an answer, start a thread and wait for several different answers.

    Welcome to the forum Tommy! Search for
    "Bears step by steps". Bear really knows his stuff and uses a Masterbuilt smoker. Lots of great recipes there.
