My name is Mike and I have been a long time lurker of the forum for tips and what not. Decided this morning that I should just go ahead and join to meet some of y'all.
I live in Mobile, AL and 30yrs old. I currently work for a service company that provides services to industrial and oil field related companies. My hobbies include hunting, boating and cooking. I tend to grill at least three times a week if not more.
I started smoking just over a year ago when I received a WSM 18.5" for my birthday last March. I have always been fascinated with grilling but smoking has always been something I have wanted to jump off into and now I am hooked. I have been grilling in general for the last 5yrs or so.
Looking forward to meeting some of y'all and learning a few things from some guys that have a whole lot more knowledge in smoking than I. From day one I have not had anyone to steer me in any kind of direction cooking wise so I may ask some newbie questions but I will try and use the "search" function as much as possible.
