Hey guys and gals, my name is Brett.
I'm glad I ran across this forum. Y'all have really given me some good ideas. I have one of the bullet looking smokers that my grandfather gave me a few years ago. I mostly have smoked turkeys and a couple of hams in it. It is in my storage building and has been there for some time. I have a Weber gas grill and use a basic charcoal grill on all my camping trips. But after seeing some of the things here I might have to dig that old smoker out. Over the years I have helped several good friends do some cookings for competitions, catering, and good ole weekend cook outs so I am not a stranger to smoking. I have looked at getting one of the smokers from Sam's that looks like a small fridge. A buddy of mines father had one the we took camping with us one time and used it the entire weekend. Life has slowed a little bit since my son is now 17 and my daughter is 6. I don't have all the time in the world (still have the wife's honey to-do list)but do have some so finding this forum at this time in my life is great. I'm 36 by the way. I look forward to reading more of the tips and recipes and to putting those recipes to use.
